The Beginning

Being a graduate of Esthetics at the Aveda Institute, skin care is no doubt a passion of mine. A big part of my career was also in fashion. I think you can see where I am going with this.

My friends have told me for years that I make them feel unique, and beautiful, and that I see them in way they wish they could see themselves. That is a gift in itself that must be shared. I thank all my incredible friends for reminding me. And there you have it, Chic Sunless by Delphine was born. I am having an incredible journey!

Preparation

The quality of your tan not only comes from the highest quality products and my expertise, but from the preparation and maintenance you provide your skin. Here are some tips I know are important in prepping your skin for my service and maintaining your golden glow! Preparation:The day BEFORE your spray tan exfoliate your skin with Infinity Sun Exfoliant. This is non-abrasive pineapple fruit enzyme that works much better than a scrub. It will leave your skin smooth and ready to tan!After you exfoliate, moisturize your skin. The day of your spray tan take a shower and shave but DO NOT Moisturize your skin. Moisturizer can create a barrier, preventing the absorption of the tanning solution. DO NOT wear deodorant or makeup during your spray tan. For best results, schedule waxing and manicure/pedicure appointments at least a day before your spray tan. WEAR dark, loose fitting clothing if possible. If you wear tight clothes you may experience "rub-off" on the inside of your clothing. WEAR flip-flops or loose shoes.

What is airbrush tanning?Airbrush tanning is body airbrushing using FDA approved ingredient, DHA (dihydroxyacetone). DHA is found in most sunless tanning sprays and lotions. DHA is a chemical derived from glycerin which causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids on the outer most layer of the skin. This reaction causes the color of the skin to change, producing a beautiful natural tan. The bronzer washes off in the shower or bath, without affecting your overall DHA tan.Infinity Sun's Extend is a moisturizer which helps carry the sunless tanner deeper into the skin and promote a softer, smoother finishIs Spray Tanning Safe?There are no known harmful side effects reported with the use of self-tanners containing DHA and certainly none as harmful as tanning in the sun or a tanning bed. However, according to the FDA, tanning products that contain the DHA chemical should be used externally only. DHA has not been tested for internal use; therefore, we recommend taking precautions against the product entering your mouth/lips, eyes and nose. We offer lip, eye and nose protection to our clients. For more information on DHA, please go to the Federal Drug Administration website www.fda.govHas anyone had an allergic reaction to Infinity Sun’s tanning solutions?The component used in the Infinity Sun spray tan solution has been successfully used in cosmetics and food products for decades, and are proven safe for use on the skin. If you've had previous allergic reactions to self-tanning lotions or cosmetics, you may want to do a "patch test" first. We can have you put a small amount of Infinity Sun spray tan solution on a small area of your skin to test for possible reactions.How long should I allow for treatment?The application takes 10-15 minutes, and it is recommended that you wait 5&ndash10 minutes to dry. To be safe, allow yourself thirty (30) minutes for each airbrush session.Are there ways to enhance the spray tan results?To achieve the perfect sunless tan you should always follow these simple steps: Cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate prior to your appointment. How long should I wait after a tanning session before showering?To give the DHA enough time to fully set, we recommend waiting a minimum of 8 hours after tanning. We recommend you not shower before the next day. Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan. If you tanned using the Instant Bronze service, the bronzer will wash off in the shower, but the DHA that creates your longer-lasting tan will remain.How long should I wait after a tanning session before exercising?To give the DHA enough time to fully set, we recommend waiting a minimum of 8 hours after tanning. Excessive perspiration can hinder the development of the tan. If you exercise after this time period and received the Instant Bronze service, you should rinse off before exercising, so you don't have any bronze color rub off on your clothing.Can I use Infinity Sun if I am pregnant?We recommend consulting with your doctor before proceeding with an Infinity Sun spray tan service and require a doctor’s note authorizing the service.How long does the spray tan last?Your body constantly sloughs off dead skin cells. Spray tanning only affects the outer layer of skin, so again, as your skin cells naturally shed, the spray tan will fade. Your spray tan should last 5-10 days, but longer if you look after your skin by moisturizing every day with a hydrating lotion. However, we cannot offer a guarantee that it will last 5-10 days as everyone skin type is different.How many Infinity Sun sessions will I need to achieve the color I want?You can reach your desired color in 1 session.Can anyone receive a spray tan?Most people are suitable to have a spray tan. We suggest that client’s with severe asthma or very sensitive skin refrain from spray tanning. We recommend you contact your physician for further information. However, if you are still unsure, please contact us.I am diabetic, is spray tanning OK for me?DHA is a chemical derived from glycerin and was first used in the treatment of diabetes. Some diabetics are actually better able to tolerate DHA than glucose in their treatment. If you have any questions or concerns, we request that you contact your physician for further information on receiving a spray tan containing DHA.I've tried other self-tanners, and they all seemed to give me the same result - streak marks, uneven areas and a horrible orange glow. How can you guarantee I will not turn orange or see streaks on my skin? A professional spray tan using Infinity Sun’s uniquely designed solutions will avoid these issues, and streakiness is caused by improper application of home tanning creams and sprays, which is why you should always let a professional apply your spray tan.Your friends will be wondering where you've been when they see you have the most natural looking, sunless tan they have ever seen. How does mobile spray tanning work? Is it safe?We are a professional mobile and stationary tanning service. On days that we are mobile, we travel with our spray tanning equipment and portable spray tent to your home or location of choice. In lieu of using the spray tent, many clients have their spray tanning session done in the shower.
